Import font styles into microstation?

Is there a way I can do this? I would like to import styles like roman s
and roman t into microstation.

In V8 there is absolutely no issue. It simply reads your font directory.

I have a drawing with Americana in it. That is a font that was developed by
a friend of mine just before the bicentennial. The AIA uses it.

Simply scroll down to get you font. I have close to 500. And I have
consciously chosen not to have that ungodly tasteless font frequently used
in AC.

In pre-V8 versions you can import .ttf files with
Utilities -> Install fonts...

That's if you don't mind having 500 on every machine.

I still think a config variable to read other directories is
a much better idea.

You can still use this function in V8, in fact I suggest to use this
unless you are a small user base.

Can't imagine having to control copying 500 fonts onto 300 different
machines.

It's a pity that MicroStation V8 can't use Postscript fonts (*.PFB)
for displaying text....So RSC-files will still be needed in this case!
