Hi all! Is there a way (maybe a .cdsenv variable?) to set the default
legend position in VIVA plots to "inside" (instead of "left")?. This
would be very useful; every time I plot something a lot of monitor
space is lost with the default ("left") mode, and very, very often I
have to change it manually to "inside" to gain some wave details.

Thanks!

Cheers,

Jorge.

viva.rectGraph legendPosition string "inside"

This was added in IC615 ISR12 (6.1.5.500.12), if I remember rightly. In
ISR15 (6.1.5.500.15), a third choice of "above" was added.

Regards,

Andrew.

Once again, thanks a lot for the tip Andrew, it was exactly what I
meant! Trying to investigate further, I realized these settings are
documented in the VIVA guide ("Virtuoso Visualization and Analysis XL
User Guide"), my apologies for not having checked before posting.

Just one short follow up: I searched the documentation and could not
find any variable for changing the font size used in the legend text
entries, could you please confirm if this is customizable or not?
(currently the legend text appears in a very, very small font, making
it difficult to distinguish the waves).

Thanks for everything, I truly appreciate it!

Cheers,

Jorge.

Hi Jorge,

I don't believe that's possible currently. There are some issues with
fonts in some cases - there's a Qt issue which may solve this, but
unfortunately we can't use that option as it causes some performance
problems in some cases.

Anyway, to be sure, I suggest that you log a service request with
customer support so that we can take a look (at
http://support.cadence.com ).

Regards,

Andrew.
