MMX useful for AutoCAD?

Is there any performance gain for AutoCAD with MMX cpu?

MMX technology has little to do with AutoCAD. MMX is designed for
multimedia. Programs need to be written for it and AutoCAD is not and
from what I have heard little effort will be made in this direction.
That said the MMX chips generally have larger cache so they do run
AutoCAD slightly faster. If your looking into a new computor think
Pentium Pro or Pentium II with lots-o-ram.
