hopefully someone out of you may be able to help out with this one...
We've got a peer-to-peer network with Win95 running on teh designated
"server." 3com networking hubs. We are using a JetDirect printer hub to
communicate to our printers...and that all worked fine until........
Last week we got a cable modem connection. The cable modem connection is
setup to run throught the networking hubs using TCP/IP and apparantly the
printers use IPX/SPX. Whether or not this has anything to do with it I
don;t know, just started happening once the cable connection was added.
What happens is...we go to plot out of r14 and it may see the printer
once...but after that, all ports are lost. We get an error message that
states that acad can;t open the port. Now...all other programs print fine.
In fact, everything is ok out of acad2000!!!????
Any insight would be helpful...email me (c...@trp-architect.com), and please
cc: p...@trp-architect.com or just post here
Thank you much

BTW I'm running TCP/IP, my local network is the 192.168.1.x series, my DSL
router is 1, my server is 254, the IP "pool" for computers is 21-250, and
any hubs or other devices are in the 2-20 range (a plotter at 7, a printer
at 6 and the hub at 5)
