We are working on a number of details for a project, and it is our
typical policy to include the filename and path in the details
titleblock. Is there an AutoCad 2000 command or a script for inserting
an updatable field with the drawings filename and path?

Thank you,
Dan Miller

I have done this recently to update an attribute in titleblocks from a
toolbar, but I do not have access to it at the moment. It was done using the
diesel functions substr, strlen, getvar and DWGNAME. I'm sure if you
experiment with this, it won't take long to work it out.

Look at the following Autodesk web page. It talks about remote text
that is available through express tools.
