Where I come from, density is not expressed in CU INCHES or CU LBS.
Density is a measure of mass per unit volume. ie. LBS/CU INCH, G/CC,
KG/m^3, etc.

The problem is, Edwin, the mass of an ACIS solid is returned as 1 for each unit
of volume. Thus mass and vlume have the same value returned by the massprop
command. It's rather confusing.
But you're right in that density determines mass which is governed by the volume
so it's possible to convert the figures that AutoCAD returns to get the values
needed.

When you issue the massprop command you get an option to write the values to a
file. Write the information to a file then read it back in extracting the
density then convert the cubic inch volume to density using a conversion factor
for the material from which the model is created.
In R13, mass and density are not configurable like they were in AME/R12.
