SY>What about a new ability to read e-mail from/to any user?

I think Galacticomm has a perfect E-Mail system. If I were a user on a
BBS I wouldn't want some system operator reading through my personal
mail. Don't you think you would want your mail left alone?

I sure am glad I'm not one of your users. Maybe you ought to change
your bbs name to gestapo.com.

If you don't want private email, turn off email in the CNF, or at least
deny your users the right to email anyone but the sysop, and let 'em
communicate in public forums. Works great, and then you're not a
voyeur.

Actually, 'works great' may be going a bit far -- it would work, but at
the cost of freedom of speech on your BBS.

And it might present a philosophical problem as well -- if a BBS
offered no email, but there were no users on the BBS to notice, would
it really be restricted at all?

'Fraid this question is just too big for me... Kind of like 'what is
the sound of one modem handshaking?'

Am I missing something here? Is there some reason to pry into other's
mail? I had a kook user once, but I just ejected him from the system.
Cured the problem without my having to be anybody's nanny.

Braced and ready for the flames, :-)

I've been looking for this feature a while myself. Seems there would be
lots of potential in a remote sysop WG client for this and many other
options.

Well wait untill you "Mountain Mail System" jambs up for the 19th
time in a row! When you've finally figured who is doing it by
seperating the bad mail from the rest, that should help you figure what
he's / she's jambing it up, with! @$#&*

I don't run "Mountain Mail" on my system. What are they sending that is
causing the problem? Is it one individual?

The focus of my bbs has changed from an entertainment bbs to a
business/internet support system. Therefore, I am selling off games
which my new users don't use.

The following modules are now for sale.

Game Connection from Sirius - sells for $349 sell for $275

MajorMUD (4 users) by West Coast Creations - sells for $250 sell for
$200

Serious inquiries only please, first money takes.

I think Cheersoft has a module to handle this - it's called
E-mail spy or something like that. Give them a ring and find
out if that's what you're looking for.

I'm believe I remember seeing a module advertized that
would let the SysOp read ALL email without logging on as the user
in question. Speaking for myself, unless I hear that a user is using
my system for naughty, illegal acts....I haven't got the time to spend
reading anyone's email (it takes enough time to keep up with my own)!

Check the BSI Sysop module (for WorldGroup). Download it from the
DEMOSYS and ask a trial-activation code from sy...@bsitech.com

You guys might want to make these requests known to m...@bsitech.com. BSI makes Sys Func. &
Util's which is a C/S port of the Remote Sysop Menu. BSI may be able to add those very
easily.
