You're right. A review of the 7950X noted that the motherboard used
for testing did not permit that number to be configured higher than
512 MB, however. Which is understandable: the integrated graphics
on the AMD desktop chips is only intended to be a basic minimial
graphics capability, to allow the OS to boot on a system without a
graphics card.
Not for gamers. Although it's actually good enough for doing a lot
of things on a system.
