Hello there,

Does anybody have any info on what happened to CADul's website and the
CADul business in general? We have evaluated their tooling for x86 PM
and are considering to buy this tool chain. But now their website has
dissappeared. Did CADul leave the compiler business or ....

Any input is welcome..

Cadul was bought out last year by Intel to help create a toolset for
Intel's Xscale processors. As far as I know, they still are in business.
We use their toolset for x86 protected mode cross development on HP/UX.
Their toolset is based on the older intel syntax format.

Intel did, and they still have it. You can download it at
http://www.intel.com/design/intarch/CADUL_download.htm.

What is the current status of this compiler ?
Is it supported by Intel ?
Is it free ?
The Intel web site has almost nothing (search CAD-UL or CADUL).
Perhaps Paradigm tools are a better choice...
Any info is appreciated,
Best Regards, Dave

I wish I had a good answer for you, I used to work at Intel and I used
CAD-UL as a debugger for the XScale CPU. All my support came directly though
internal channels so I really don't know what external support is available.
Sorry.
