I am trying to build a small, self routing network of PDA's. I am
still in the brainstorming phase. Could someone tell me where to go to
get info on IR and RF networking? I would like to have the devices
detect new peers on the fly. I really need to know an informed
opinions on the pros and cons of each. Is this something someone has
done already that I could look at? I'm new to the PDA programming
world and I appreciate any help.
web pages or alternate usenet would be good too. Thanks!

In the RF Networking domain (within a building or area) Cisco have
some useful gear (RF networking routers) and, I presume, the standard
PC cards that help to complete the link. There is quite a bit of FAQ
like info on their web-site <http://www.cisco.com/> I think but I can
check when I get close enough to fire up the other system again (not
this minute though).
