VAM SYSTEMS is a Business Consulting, IT Technology Solutions and
Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA,
Australia, Singapore & India.
VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for Analyst - Applications Support
for our UAE operations with the following skill set and terms and
conditions:
Skill Set required:
• At least 3 year experience in Application Support & Development,
preferably in a Banking & Finance environment
• Good leadership qualities
• Good team building skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral
• Expertise in evaluation of software solutions
• Knowledge of IT Services quality standards
• Knowledge of Information security and Risk analysis
• Knowledge of banking processes and procedures;
• Expertise in disaster recovery and contingency planning
Professional / Technical qualifications / Diplomas:
• Professional level training in information systems
• Training on specific Banking systems applications
Education level required:
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• To be accountable for the optimum IT services availability assigned
primary and secondary services.
• To be accountable for reviewing SIT & UAT documents prior to system
releases in production and DR environments.
• To be accountable for ensuring fallback arrangements during system
releases in production and DR environments.
• To be accountable for reviewing outstanding help desk calls/requests
and timely closure.
• To be accountable for the escalation, communication of logged calls
older than 4 working days with reasons and action plans.
• To be accountable for satisfactory audit rating for assigned primary
and secondary services.
• To be accountable for implementing approved minimum baseline
standards.
• To ensure that procedures are in place and being followed to
reliably backup all sensitive data (including Database) and that a
backup retention policy is clearly defined and being adhered to.
• To ensure that software licensing is as per policy and exceptions
mitigated and made necessary arrangement for being compliant.
• To ensure the effective resolution of HelpDesk calls or escalating
the same to vendors, as appropriate.
• To maintain vendor relationships with specific, nominated IT
suppliers to the Bank.
• To ensure timely upgrade of applications, operating system and
database software versions used by the Bank.
• Participate in the annual determination of the IT budget for the
Bank.
• To ensure that business continuity adequately addressed in
delivering business critical services and that awareness of business
continuity preparedness exists throughout the department.
• To be aware of operational risk in the execution of IT’s
responsibilities and that it is adequately monitoring and reporting
operational risk incidents.
• To be responsible for adhering to approved change management
policies.
• To be responsible for evaluating new functionalities and controls
that can improve data protection, business process improvement in
existing IT services or procuring new services by procuring the same.
Occasional Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• To assist as required in responding to requests for information or
for detailed review from authorities such as the UAE Central Bank,
external auditors, or other bodies as notified by Bank’s management.
• To collaborate with other team members in preparation of statistics
for transactions, system utilisation, network utilisation and other
metrics as agreed.
• To participate in seminars and conferences as agreed with Bank
management to maintain current with developments in IT services for
the financial services industry.
• To review periodicals and other relevant literature relating to
developments in IT services for the financial services industry.
Terms and conditions:
Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 1 month).
The selected candidates shall join VAM SYSTEMS – UAE and shall be
deputed to one of the leading Banks in UAE.
