I recently acquired a handful of 8052AH microcontrollers. Is the 8052AH
a generic 8052 with maskable rom, or
does it contain the basic interpreter? The complete number on the chip
is P8052AH 9003, and the chips are dated
INTEL 82. What is the easiest way to determine if these chips contain
the basic interpreter? I planned on using them
as a replacement for an 8032, but I don't want to waste them if they are
the 8052AH-BASIC. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jack

The mask-programmed chip with a BASIC interpreter is part number
8052-BASIC from Intel and 80C52-BTZ from Micromint (MHS Matra). What you
have are indeed ROM devices, but you'll have to dump the rom and examine
it to see what it is. Could be anything from a fuel injection system for
a car, to a burglar alarm. :)

They don't have the basic interpreter unless they say 8052-BASIC
on them. All the Intel mask programmed BASIC chips say BASIC on them.

The BASIC interpreter chips are $20 apice. Period............sq
