I am a novoice in microcontrollers, I am using PIC12F675 as an AD
converter. The output of the PIC is fed to a computer's rs232 port. I
was just wondering if there is any perticular way that I need to send
the output from PIC so that computer gets the data as expected, like
baudrate, parity number of bits. Where can i find more info on rs232
communication protocol.

Thanks in advance

This is pretty much exactly what you're trying to do.
PicBasic *should* allow you to export serial data (at
a low baud rate) even on the 12F675.

These are great little chips. The A/D converters even
let you handle multiple switch inputs if you use a
resistor ladder to encode the switches (be sure to
leave a healthy gap between resistance values so
analog 'drift' never confuses things). One pin thus
becomes like many.
