Hi.

In Google Sheets the format code "ddd" for e.g. 2018/08/01 results in
"Mi." (German interface)

I need it without the dot. Just "Mi".

Is that possible?

The page
https://developers.google.com/sheets/api/guides/formats
doesn't give a hint how to solve the problem.

Thanks for your help.

there was a discussion about this on the internet in 2003:
https://www.typografie.info/3/topic/28675-abk%C3%BCrzungspunkt-nach-wochentag/

The writers there where not clear about the right way to go ... ;)

But, praise yourself lucky you do not live in Catalonia
(

)

The real solution would be to find out how the days of the week are
shortened officially, and than (if this calls for a change) file a bug
report with Google )

Start Googling for: report bug google sheets

First Link (for /me):
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/12106497/how-to-report-a-bug-for-google-drive-google-docs

The page contains a link to the 'Google Help forum':
https://productforums.google.com/forum/?visit_id=1-636689793037879714-2750156247&hl=en&rd=1#!forum/docs

But, indeed, there is mentioned that this might be a 'problem':

Of which none leads to a bug tracker of any sort but all some "help" and
"support" forum / google group where maybe some Google staff will
extract information at good will or won't.

So nothing changed. It's a PITA and effectively one can't report a bug
and track if and when it's fixed.
