Once, many years ago I had the privelage[?] of playing around with an
old Commodore Vic 20. One program I tried was a simple A.I. program
which allowed the user(s) to carry on a simple conversation with the
computer.
This was done simply by entering sentences to begin with after which the
computer would ask questions about the topic of the sentence just
entered. After several minutes of entering new sentences and answering
questions, the program became quite "smart" and actually started making
more sense. The effect was much like speaking to a real person (very
slow person, but nevertheless) and often humourous results.
Does anyone know of a PC program (software) which is available to public
which will do this same thing? Please do not refer to "Creative Labs:
Dr. Sbaitso" (from Sound Blaster software) as I have tried this and was
not too impressed.
Thanks
