The excellent book, Architects of Intelligence by Martin Ford (https://amzn.to/2ts4hSb) includes, amongst other things, fascinating insights into current thinking amongst leading researchers in AI. I was particularly interested in what they say about problems in AI that are seen as obstacles to progress.

Although this may sound too good to be true, most of those problems, perhaps all of them, and some other problems in AI, have potential solutions via the SP System (http://bit.ly/2Gxici2) meaning the SP Theory of Intelligence and its realisation in the SP Computer Model.

The SP System and how it may help solve those problems in AI is outlined in the paper, "Comments on the book 'Architects of Intelligence' by Martin Ford in the light of the SP Theory of Intelligence" (PDF, bit.ly/2th7Bze).

Comments on any aspect of this paper will be welcome.
