The AACL seeks to recruit promising Ph.D research students (expected commencement date: 1 September 2023). The selected students are expected to carry out following two projects.
(1) KRF(Korea Research Foundation) research project: A Research on Advanced Deep Neural 3D Cell-Free Network Architecture for Intelligent LEO Satellites assisted 6G Communications
■ Fundamental analysis and evaluation for 6G networks, e.g., machine learning based interference control and resource allocation, stochastic geometry and graph neural network based network analysis, and etc.
(2) BK21(Brain Korea 21) research project: Big Data Platform for Intelligent Healthcare Services
■ Federated learning for distributed medical/healthcare systems, machine learning based secure and fast data transmission controls, and etc.
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
● Hold a Bachelor’s (and Master’s) degree as of August 31, 2021
● Strong background in the area(s) of research
● Strong background on mathematics and programming skills
● Good English language skills- written and oral
● Good ability to cooperate with others in a multicultural environment
● Good ability for highly motivated independent research
Listed below are some features of this research assistantship and the expected benefits of the program for successful applicants:
● Full tuition fees for study period
● Starting Monthly Allowance of 1,500,000 KRW (including tax and insurance). It may vary depending on the applicant's competitiveness.
● Extra allowances based on research performance
● Lab and research facility
● Health insurance
