The Pacific Rim International Conference on Artificial Intelligence
(PRICAI) is a biennial international event which concentrates on AI
theories, technologies and their applications in the areas of social
and
economic importance for countries in the Pacific Rim. Past
conferences have been held in Nagoya (1990), Seoul (1992), Beijing
(1994), Cairns (1996), Singapore (1998), Melbourne (2000), Tokyo
(2002) and Auckland (2004).
Topics
Topics of interest are all areas of Artificial Intelligence, including
but not limited to:
- Agents and Distributed AI
- Knowledge based Systems
- Machine Learning and Data Mining
- Natural Language Understanding and Information Retrieval
- Reasoning (Logic, Constraints, Knowledge Representation, Search,
Satisfiability)
- Planning and Plan Recognition
- Computer Vision and Robotics
- AI Applications in Auctions, Entertainment, Bioinformatics, Web
search
and Browsing, Sensor Networks, and many others

Important Dates
22nd February 2006 - submission deadline for research papers
5th May 2006 - notification of acceptance for all submissions
22nd May 2006 - camera-ready copy due
Submission
Papers should be no longer than 10 pages including all tables, figures
and references. Fonts should not be smaller than 10pt.
Paper submissions using Springer's LNAI style available at
http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html are recommended. All
papers should be submitted electronically (in PDF format) to a Web
submission page to be accessible from the PRICAI-06 Web site

Conference Venue
PRICAI 06 will be held at the 5 star Lijiang Waterfall Hotel in the
centre of Guilin city. Guilin
(http://www.china.com.cn/english/travel/42354.htm) is famous for its
distinctive karst scenery and is a key tourist destination in China.
The beautiful landscape is characterized by green mountains, clear
waters, strange caves and statuesque monoliths.
