How to identify text on a image?

Hi all,

My question is, I need some code (I can write or is open source) which
can recognize text on a image.
I have 100+ images of webpages. I want to find the location of text on
the web page.
I don't need to know what the text actually says, but I need to put
boxes around each single word.

Does anyone have any idea where to start ?
