I've been perusing the group to find instructions on how to extract
all the files from my default AMIX installation tape (1.1) using my
a3070. I've found lots of great instructions on writing to the tapes,
but nothing on reading. I'm running AMIX 2.03, and the SCSI unit
number remains 4.
My end purpose will be simply to archive the contents of the tape for
the future, and provide it to anyone who might want to check out AMIX
1.1.
Any help would be appreciated,
Bo Zimmerman

Maybe I am missing the point, but you should be able to make a dump with

Hi Christian --
Well, the problem, among other things, is figuring out which device to
use. It seems like there are at least 7-8 different devices that
refer to scsi unit 4, and even those are subdivided in ways I don't
understand. That's why I was hoping someone here might have done
before what I'm trying to do...
Thanks for your response,
Bo
I have not installed my A3070 at my A3000UX at the moment, but streamers
should be mounted a /dev/rmtX od /dev/nstX. Where X is the number of the
device, if you have only installed one streamer, it should be 0.
Another good point to ask, could be:
