Hello Everyone!

Please note that the immigration reform event has been moved to
Friday, March 5 at 6pm in Hagerty Hall 180.

Best,
Sarah

Hey Sarah,
My friend Andrea and I are putting on an event about immigration
reform for our end-of-the-quarter class project. As a fellow
comparative studies student, I would love it if you could send
information about this event to the undergraduate comp. st. group!  I
would love for people to come and bring friends, and if they would
like to help in any extra way we could definitely use volunteers to
help spread the word, set up and tear down for the event, etc. Any way
people would like to contribute would be great! I'm really excited
about the event and think that other students who have a passion for
social justice would enjoy coming to something like this.  Could you
forward this to the comp. st. group? Here's a summary of the event
that is posted on the facebook page:

"And Justice for...ALL?"
Friday, March 5, 1pm
Page Hall, 010

What’s really going on with immigration and what can you do about it?
Come hear stories first hand from those who have found themselves
excluded from America’s promise of ‘freedom and justice for all’ and
find out what you can do to make a change for the better.

Everyone has a story to tell if only we will take the time to listen.
As we’ve been listening to stories from people we've met living in
Columbus we’ve discovered that the basic rights that we were born
with, the rights that we take for granted every day, are not rights
that every person in America has access to. Many immigrants living and
working in the U.S. must fight daily to be acknowledged as 'legal'
people living here. This is what motivates us to put on this event. We
want everyone else to hear the same stories we’ve heard this year,
that have affected us and motivated us to fight against the injustice
that happens around us every day.

This event will inform people about current issues concerning
immigration laws through the personal stories of those who have had to
maneuver their way through the system. There will be representatives
from the Reform Immigration for America Campaign to talk about what
they are doing to make a positive change and share simple ways anyone
can get involved to do the same. A Q&A session will follow the
presentations any anyone is welcome to ask their own questions.

**Come to this event, whatever your opinion may be regarding
immigration laws and what should be done. Attending does not require
you to become further involved in immigration reform if you don't want
to. But the options will be there if you do.

**Free Chipotle at the end for all who attend!

Invite everyone you know!
