It is with great pleasure to inform you that we finally achieved 1Gbps on Friday the 15th July 2011. This has been a long time goal that has now ranked KIXP as the fastest growing IXP globally with a growth rate of 670% the next target is to get the traffic to 10Gbps . The technical team expects with their calculations to be there in the next 9 months.
The Google cache introduced in April at KIXP has contributed a lot to this as well as some members upgrading their individual connectivity to at least 1Gbps to continue enjoying the service at KIXP.
Thank you for your support and looking forward to working with you all as we get to the 10Gbps threshold.
