We are delighted to announce a call for applications for YEC media interns
Youth Equality Radio’s Digital Media & Technology Pathways Program is a 3-month Workforce Training program targeting university students between the ages of 18-25 interested with overpowering passion for journalism and mass communication. During the first
3 months, participants receive digital media instruction and professional development training. Participants are also recruited as online Radio presenters where they are able to implement their gained skills.
Pathways participants also receive a full suite of wraparound services including academic and career advising.
Following graduation from the program, students receive a Youth Equality Centre On-the-Job Training Certificate of Completion. Details at:

1.6 Program Overview:
3-Month Training:
Classes will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Wednesdays- Media Instruction Fridays- Professional Development Training
• Onsite media training
• Field trips to local NGOs, companies and visits from professional guest speakers
• Workshops on college success, leadership, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, financial literacy, photography and self-marketing among others
1.7 3-Month Internship: (Following Training)
Interns work between 5 to 10 hours a week delivering Radio content as well as supporting Youth Equality Centre different development initiatives
1.8 Requirements
• Ages 18-25
• Must be a students at an institution of Higher learning offering Journalism and Mass communication or any communication related course.
• Other students with a passion in Journalism are also encouraged to apply.
