Is it possible to get a zip file of all the images that have been
uploaded to our map? I'd like to have a backup and don't want to have
to go through all of them individually downloading them - is this
possible?

I'm afraid we don't have any way to download all of the images from the map.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Jared

Do you mean the marker icons (pin replacements) or the pictures which can be seen when you click on a pin?

Hi Craig - I mean the pictures that are uploaded to each marker. We
have around six per marker and around 300 markers. It seems weird that
we can't just get our images from wherever they're served, especially
when you look at the hosting address and they all seem to be in an
organised fashion - still waiting for Jared to confirm that though.

Hi Andrew,

If the photos are in order you may be able to reference them quickly through the url directly, but we don't have any easy way to download them in bulk.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Ok, I think there is a way you can speed the process up, rather than doing
it manually.

Under "build this map" go to "Bulk Edit". Then at the bottom, on the right
hand side is the export current map file. This file will contain the links
to all your pictures. From there you can manually download them or use a
script.

I don't save the pictures on CommunityWalk. I save them on our server and
just use the hyperlink in CommunityWalk.

For future reference, I work on the data in an external data base and then
import the data in bulk into CommunityWalk. This way I can change things
more easily and I have a back of the data at the same time.

I use some very large (too large really) maps with CommunityWalk and this
system. The largest has over 1,000 markers and hundreds of pictures with
others around 300 markers and a hundred plus pictures
(http://www.communitywalk.com/tokyo). I found it impractical to work with
them any other way.

Regards,

Craig

If you want, provide me a link to one of your maps and I will have quick look to see if there are any other options.

Hi Craig - thanks for offering a potential solution. I'd tried this before but tried it again and I realised why this wasn't the solution we were looking for. The Bulk export feature only gives you *one* image url, which I guess is for the featured image. We typically have 6 images per marker and it seems (unless Jared can come to the rescue!) that these don't export.
