If anyone is interested in data grids and using policy-driven
management of CRS data, you can grab iRODS at www.irods.org.
As a mid-tier software developer, I have a great interest in
facilities that can make iRODS a good platform for large-scale data
collection and preservation. Recent work has included SOAP/REST-ful
interfaces for iRODS.
