Would be possible to change the URL route related to users?

from: www.mysite.com/username/
to: username.mysite.com

Not very easily; you could do it, but you'd have to change the default CE routes (look in routes.rb) and also set up your server for wildcard subdomains (*.mysite.com). Do-able, but not really worth the time in my opinion.

Dear Kless,

I changed the URL route for users from www.mysite.com/username/ to
www.mysite.com/users/username/
This is not the subdomain solution you asked for but it does prevent
URL path conflicts in our setup. If you are interested please refer to

Very nice!

Though there are some implications of this little change:

One that springs to mind is the helper method for sitemap.xml, that
needs the helper method be modified to support the new path. I am
sure there may be others.
