Dear colleague,
With the hope that you are doing well, I would
like to inform you that as of Sept. 2020 the
Unesco Chair on Digital Cultural
Heritage (DCH) is carrying out for the European Commission, together
with a group of leading experts, a landmark ‘Study on quality in 3D
digitisation of tangible Cultural Heritage: mapping parameters, formats,
standards, benchmarks, methodologies, and guidelines’: https://bit.ly/3oevAck and https://cutt.ly/XkbSnMv
Therefore, we want to identify success stories in 3D Digital-Heritage (movable or immovable) according to any of the following criteria for initiatives:
1) which have achieved high quality in 3D digitisation of Tangible Cultural Heritage, according Accuracy, Precision and Resolution.
2) incorporating high Complexity in 3D digitisation.
3) which have led to formats, standards, benchmarks, methodologies or guidelines that are relevant for 3D digitisation of CH (incl. metadata, Paradata).
4) which supported use/re-use of #3D documentation by specific audiences.
Selected contributions (see attachment) will be invited to
participate at the midterm event at the end of February 2021 and at a high level
political event at the end of June 2021.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation, full support and active participation.
Best regards,
