Sexual Minorities Liaison Committee (SMLC) Town Hall Meeting
Tuesday, June 21, 2011 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Edmonton Public Library - Stanley Milner Branch
Floor 6, Room 7
This town hall event provides the opportunity for LGBTQ community members to
hear from other community members and representatives from the Edmonton
Police Service, the Edmonton Police Commission, and the SMLC about "Pride,
Prejudice, and Policing". Visitors are welcome to listen or speak out and
share their stories about city policing, hate crimes, or other crimes or
incidents directed against our community. This town hall meeting is your
opportunity to ask questions to the EPS, Edmonton Police Commission and
SMLC representatives. We also hope that this town hall event will provide
the opportunity to speak with other members of the community and for
everyone to voice their concerns and needs while providing feedback,
positive or negative, on policing, safety, and security in the city of
Edmonton.
This is a free, public event so please feel free to invite others.
