Hi, Community Inclusion Action Team,

It was good to see you last month and to move forward on planning outreach related to the Neighborhood Roots project.

Attached are the following:

·         Notes from the 9/23/21 CIAT meeting – Please review these notes and let me know if you have any additions or corrections.

·         Notes from a phone meeting I had with Jennifer Killian, City of Corvallis Urban Forester – There’s a lot of important information that she shared, so please take a couple of minutes to review this document.

·         Sample City letter to property owner (received from Jennifer Killian)

·         Sample City flyer to resident (received from Jennifer Killian)

·         List of residents in the SE Conifer and Sequoia neighborhoods (received from Mike Beilstein)

Thank you for looking over these documents and sending your thoughts/feedback to the group.

Annette

Thanks so much, Annette, for this follow up. The conversation with Jennifer Killian looks like it was incredibly helpful and productive. Lots of great information there!

I'll go ahead and draft an email to Tracy, Patrick, and Andrew now. With the ideal planting time November to February - hopefully we can get this done by February 2022!

I think if we use the outreach mechanisms already in place with the Urban Forestry program and then add some additional pieces to engage the residents who are interested in tree selection and location selection we will be in a good place.

All the best,
Emily
