2024 Community Fleet Events

Folks,

We have gotten to that part of the year where today is just a little longer than yesterday. Although the water is very cold (not yet ice I don’t think), we can take some comfort that the new sailing season is as close as the one we left behind. Now that the pandemic is a few years in the rear view mirror, we thought more sailors might be interested in joining the Fleet for a few sailing events in 2024.

A tentative Community Fleet calendar has been attached for your consideration. Although we are only guessing at some of the dates, they are likely placed generally in the right time frames. The hope is we get this out early and everyone builds these dates into their summer schedule. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at this return email address.

My apologies to those that might receive this email twice. As always, if you do not want to be on our mailing list just let us know.

That’s perfect, Dave. You can get Comm Flt #2 in as a tune up and then the LDR the next weekend. It will be here before you know it.

Joe,

As long as we get some boats on the starting line, I am happy to do it. I am pretty sure that sailing and good health go hand and hand so you are right on target with your New Year’s resolution.

I just wanted to point out to everyone that the 2024 LDR is in one of those rare goldilocks zones. Father’s Day is the week before and Graduation/Graduation weekend is the one after making June 22^nd a day with very few excuses … just saying. ;-)

I’ll see some of you on the water in February and for the rest, like Joe says, it won’t be long before the 2024 season begins.

Thanks for putting this together and keeping CF events alive. The calendar dovetails nicely with my New Year's resolution to prioritize health, family, and of course sail more often!
