Sorry for the very late email.

 

For anyone interested, there is memorial service for Dick tomorrow at 11 AM.   The service will be graveside at Evergreen cemetery in Fonda, NY.

Thanks for sending that Dan.  I am unable to attend services but remember Dick as a good friend, skilled sailor, storyteller and full of life.  He will be missed at MYC among other places.  Sail fast!!!

Thanks for sharing Dan.  I remember many great weeknight community fleet races with Dick back when I first began solo sailing Sweven.  He will surely be missed.

Hi CF,

I’m sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. I always admired him for his solo skippering. There were many occasions where I would be following him around the course only to have him shout out that he didn’t know where he was going!!!  Fair winds and following seas Dick!!!
