Folks,
Coming up next month is the MYC Charity Regatta. I am thinking the Charity Regatta would be a good event to pull in a bunch of multihulls and put out a good fleet (and a good warm up to the BTS). I know some of you have new boats, boats you haven’t sailed in a bit and boats that deserve to get out of the barn at least once this season. Heck, I hear Aaron could put his hands on a Hobie if he wanted to (?). There are several of those 14ft three hull thingys around now that could make an interesting addition to the fleet to sail with the bigger tris on the lake.
And as you can see, the forecast is looking pretty good for a day of multihull racing.
I was looking for my expanded multihull list and couldn’t find it. If you could forward to other multihull enthusiasts (Tony M especially), much appreciated.

See you on the water,

So, no interest from the multihull community? Is there any interest from the sailing community at large?
I tend to put MYC / GSL events at the top of my list. However, if there no takers for the Charity Regatta there are a few opportunities off lake to pursue.
Thanks,
dk

Folks,
The MYC Charity Regatta is on for this Saturday, 8/17. Below is the response from the PRO and attached is the NoR.
“Hi Dan, I think we are aiming for three races. Two will be mark races (upwind/downwind) and a race home. I think there are 5/6 boats signed up on the porch lost right now.”
The wind does look good for Saturday and if there is any rain, most should come in morning with the afternoon drying out a bit more.
Who is in? I think I am helping with the scoring so any names ahead of time will certainly help out.

Ladybug is most likely in for racing

Folks,
The forecast is looking better and the fleet is growing (see entry sheet attached). 8 mph out of the SE is the breeze will make for some good racing.
We could use a bunch more boats to come out and join in. What’s more important than sailing on the GSL with friends and family? I hate to say it but the summer is winding down so come on out and join in the fun.

Ladybug may sail. Depending upon the weather. T-storms in afternoon are scary.

We will check the weather in the morning. Several models, including NOAA predict T-storms.
