Folks,

Attached is the latest scratch sheet for this week’s BTS race.

If you are on more than one hull, it looks to be a crowded and competitive field. Although they are all multihulls, there is a wide range of designs and associated ratings. Maybe someone should sail their Weta rather than that big clunky thing.

If you are on one hull, where are you? Join the fleet !! Come out and enjoy one last lap around the lake with all your sailing friends.

Since the water is down and some may not be as familiar with the lake, I have attached the ‘HazMap’ for the lower half of the lake. All the red areas are ‘No-Go’ zones during the race.

Anyone else thinking about joining in, let me know. Any questions, let me know.

Folks,

If you didn’t come out on Saturday, you missed one of the best events of the year. Sure, it was raining cats and dogs for most of the race. Sure, the wind blew only to tease the fleet into thinking that NW breeze was actually going to fill in. Sure, Michael was going to drop out but hung in there for a 5^th place finish. Sure, those cat sailor were too stubborn to drop out … that’s it … just too stubborn to drop out. For me, finally I wasn’t the one parked in Mayfield channel watching the rest of the fleet sail up to my stern.

All joking aside, it was a bunch of hearty sailors that never gave up the competition until crossing the finish line. From the post race conversation, it sounded like all were glad they gave it a go.

Attached are the overall finishes. I also attached a scratch sheet so folks less familiar could see what types of boats they were racing against.
