How long for UK POI edit's to go live?

I've done some edit's to some POI's in the UK and they seem to be taking forever to update on the map.

Also, how long does it take for a business marked as closed to be removed from Google Maps?

Hi Nathan,
 You should be able to get more help with your pending edits on the Google Maps Help Forum here: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/maps?hl=en Features marked as 'Closed', remain on Maps but do not show up in search results. Places which are reported as 'Place does not exist or is private' are the ones that get removed.

I'd also like to know this. I've updated the location of various POIs in the UK and although I can see my edits as approved, the map tiles haven't been updated to reflect the correct location.

I thought it might be because the tiles are only updated on an irregular schedule, but even a Google Nexus S Android app with the new vector-based maps shows the correct POIs in the wrong location.

Any ideas?
