I've been working to edit some maps records around Arlington VA. Went
to the edit history and I noticed a couple of interesting things:

On one record where I've attempted to make edits I saw an interesting
list of comments about past edit history. Really wondering about how
edit attempts are categorized. In my efforts they represented my own
business, and attempts to eliminate duplicate records.

2nd thing I noticed was an editors comments with regard to possible
spammy edits throughout the region.

Of great interest, this particular area in Arlington, VA is and has
been undergoing very considerable real estate development and change
over a number of years. Actual businesses move out of the area, move
across the street or down the street as buildings are torn down and
new buildings go up. Its actually a pretty dynamic region with some
significant changes having occurred consistently, regularly, and
currently.

I'll be adding edits to update some of these records.

Hi,
This issue would be better addressed at the Google Maps Help Forum here: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/maps?hl=en
