TeleAtlas; anybody miss them?

Having done map edits for a year or so I was well acquainted with the
Map Insight feature of TeleAtlas. It was nicely done and was easy to
use. The problem was it was sort of a black hole; info goes in,
nothing comes out. I got nice emails back with a link to a web page to
show the status of my request, they agreed there was a problem but
nothing changed. As an example; I noted to them that a new pedestrian
only street, Yerba Buena Lane had been created in downtown SF, I noted
that according to a local newspaper article there had been some public
safety issues related to it because police and ambulances couldn't
find it on maps. I got a response acknowledging that it was missing;
then no change. So when Google dropped them I was curious to see what
had happened to my request to add the street. Lo and Behold, there it
was; complete with street numbers and businesses!
Anyone else have similar experiences? Anybody have something disappear?
