Geocoding Addresses with PHP/MySQL

I am trying to implement what is proposed in the page above without
any success :/

I suppose i should run the script off the browser. A white page is
returned and none of the example lat & lng are being updated.

Can anyone help me ?

Also the link for help at the bottom of said page does not get me to
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/Google-Maps-API i suppose does not
exist anymore.

What i want to do is to make a map of international schools in Paris.
An i don't seem to be able to get pass the example :// Ghelp please :)
