In Chapter 1, Analytic Geometry, Example 1.2.1:
How does conversion from the first expression to the second work? It seems to me that there is a typo somewhere in there, because I can't get it to work exactly, but more than likely I am making an algebra mistake. Not sure how we get from the -11 to 16?
