During the last CBN Monthly Meeting, there were a number of requests regarding the Community Blueprint logo, particularly in different sizes. Our logo is always available on the Points of Light branding website:
http://pointsoflightbranding.org/resources/logos.asp, (at the bottom of the page) in a variety of forms.
Some standard rules to follow:
- TO TAGLINE OR NOT TO TAGLINE:
When the logo is standing alone, include the "A POINTS OF LIGHT ENTERPRISE" tagline with it. When coupled with the Points of Light logo you have the option of dropping that tagline if the relationship is inferred
- WHAT IS A PNG AND WHEN SHOULD I USE IT?
A ".png" file is just another graphic file format (like .jpg) but it supports transparency so that the logo can be placed on a colored background or something other than white without having a white box around it. Best used for web or documents where you don't want to have an unsightly white box around the logo
- WHAT IS EPS AND WHEN SHOULD I USE IT?
An ".eps" file is just another graphic file format. It is vector based meaning it is scalable without losing quality. This will be mainly used by printers or people needing a vector-based logo.
- WHAT IS JPG AND WHEN SHOULD I USE IT?
A ".jpg" file is just another graphic file format (that most people are familiar with). These are used often in PPT decks, Word documents, email, etc. They are flattened, compressed and have a white background (so when placed on color or texture background that is not white you will see a white bounding box around the logo)
If you are requiring something outside of what is available on the website, we would be happy to work with you. As a note, individual requests may take more than 2 weeks. As always, feel free to contact me at
rke...@pointsoflight.org to let me know how I can be of assistance.
