| Dear Bill,Sun Day, September 21st, will be a national event designed to accelerate the growth of solar energy despite recent headwinds. Hundreds of Sun Day events are being held across the country to celebrate the remarkable success of solar energy and to push for even greater progress.
Two events are planned in our region:
1. Saturday, September 13: Bike Rides on the Delaware Canal Towpath
These bicycle rides are in support of events leading up to “Sun Day”, with an optional discussion of Solar Energy at a local pub following the ride. “Sun Day” is a day of action on September 21, 2025, celebrating the power of clean energy, sponsored by a coalition of grassroots organizations, such as Sierra Club, Third Act PA, and many others. |
|
There is an 8-mile ride and a 22-mile ride.
Each ride departs from the Scudder Falls Bridge Park and Ride, 1130 Woodside Road, Yardley, PA 19067. |
|
2. Sunday, September 21: Sun Day, 11 am - 3 pm, Love Park, Philadelphia |
|
Sun Day Philly at Love Park, 15th and JFK Blvd, will be packed with solar powered and sun-inspired activities for all ages: live music, arts, solar kits for teachers, model solar car races, EV display, solar s'mores, educational booths and actions we can all take to let our public officials know we need more solar NOW.
