Good morning,
We are reaching out to inform you about two funding opportunities your municipality may want to consider in its transition to clean energy with assistance from Federal and PA State programs. Please share with your municipality.
1. EPA Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles Grant Program
The EPA’s Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles Grant Program is now open with a submission due date of July 25, 2024. EPA is offering an informational webinar on the grant forms and FAQ on Monday, June 17at 3 pm Eastern - register here.
This May 30th webinar recording by the Electrification Coalition provides a good overview of this grant program. Our volunteer group, Community Advocates for Clean Energy, supports clean energy funding initiatives, mainly through the utilization of government funding programs such as the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL).
Please reach out with questions and submit this survey for follow-up information. We are interested in connecting municipalities with opportunities for clean energy investments. We look forward to the possibility of working together to create a more sustainable future for our municipalities.
2. Municipal Opportunities for Retrofits and Energy Efficiency (MORE Grant)
DEP kicked off their PA MORE program (Municipal Opportunities for Retrofits and Energy Efficiency) to aid local government units with energy audits and energy efficiency improvements. There is a grant portion of this program that must be utilized within 180 days of DEP initiating the program.
Follow the link above for details on an informational webinar June 25th at 9am.
