This innovative structure—what HPCSI calls “synthetic community solar”—replaces traditional virtual net metering with a grantmaking model. Instead of tying multiple households to one utility meter, HPCSI and One Hope will share solar’s financial benefits directly with families most affected by high energy costs.

Hi friends,

The One Hope Solar Sharing Project is going on the roof this coming week - Sept 23-26!  The 27.2 kW array will generate power that will benefit One Hope and HPCSI, as well as provide a $600 energy burden alleviation grant every year to four low income neighbors as well as one neighborhood non-profit.  3 HPCSI solar training class grads will also be able to benefit by shadowing the installation and gaining on site experience.

We've scheduled a press event for this installation for NEXT Friday, Sept 26, 12pm - on site at One Hope Community Church, 4318 N Lawrence St, Philadelphia, PA 19140.

Please talk this up and bring people out. Please spread this around!  This is a important moment in what has been a long but beautiful journey.
