Richard,
I don’t have access to the mailing list for the Direct Project’s communications work group. As I’d mentioned a couple of weeks ago, ONC approved having our graphic designer come up with a new logo for the Direct Project. Our goal was to come up with something graphically related to the Nationwide Health Information Network and even CONNECT, but with its own identity. Attached is what we’ve created. This has been approved by Arien and Doug Fridsma as well as a few additional people within ONC.
Please forward this around to the group for feedback, and we’d very much like yours. All three files are the same logo…it’s just in different formats so the group would have what it needs for different purposes.

My only issue is that the tag line alongside makes this a LARGE logo... sometimes it's nice to have something that requires less horizontal space, which is why tag lines are often BELOW the drawing...
