You are invited to do an on-line follow-up questionnaire (for a PhD
candidate’s
research at the National University of Ireland, Galway). His research
concerns attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors related to the male
body image.

Participation is VOLUNTARY and responses will be kept ANONYMOUS and

Moderators Note: This invitation comes from Travis Ryan, a psychology
PhD student at the
National University of Ireland, Galway. Having just completed the
questionnaire myself, its method and form impress me as legitimate and
important research. It required about 20 minutes for me to complete on-
line. The set-up has an easy multi-choice check-off format. Very
little is known with any degree of certainty about men’s attitudes
toward their own and other men’s bodies. There is scant empirical data
on the subject. Therefore, I strongly urge members here to take part
in this research. Incidentally, "in May [I] offered a 'mild criticism
of some of the [previous] questionnaire's phrasing' [which was]
"appreciated and [will be] controlled for [the researcher's]
analysis." Consequently "you will find that [the current
questionnaire is] suitable to men of all sexual orientations.".
