You are invited to do an on-line psychology questionnaire (for a PhD
candidate’s
research at the National University of Ireland, Galway).
His research concerns attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors related to the
male
body.
Participation is VOLUNTARY and responses will be kept ANONYMOUS and
CONFIDENTIAL.

This invitation comes from Travis Ryan, a psychology PhD student at

National University of Ireland, Galway.
Having just completed the questionnaire myself, its method and form
impress me as legitimate and important research. It required about 20
minutes for me to complete on-line. The set-up has an easy multi-
choice check-off format. Be forewarned: despite allowing for a “Gay”
and “Bisexual” response to a question early on about sexual
orientation, a few of the later questions take for granted the
respondent’s heterosexual orientation.
Very little is known with any degree of certainty about men’s
attitudes toward their own and other men’s bodies. There is scant
empirical data on the subject. Therefore, I strong urge members here
to take part in this research.

It would be interesting if he provides some feedback to this group or
those of us who reponsded to the request. It was interesting and I am
curious as to how my answers fit in with everyone else's and what I
can learn about myself.
