I have never heard a more fallacious argument than this: The report giving a religion-wise breakup of the schools, says that while Christians comprise 11.54 per cent of India’s minority population, they run 71.96 per cent schools, and Muslims with 69.18 per cent minority population run 22.75 per cent of the schools.
The government, central, state, municipal and panchayat run the maximum number of schools.
Hindu groups of all kinds including corporates come second.
Muslims come third with their mosque based schools and a limited number of secular institutions.
Christians, who were first in 1947 and earlier., come fourth if you include not just church owned but also corporate or business schools whose owners are Christians.
Sikhs are fourth.
