New SEPS call   Focus on access to electricity   Deadline 21 June 2010

Dear colleagues and friends,

WISIONS is delighted to present its new website and to launch the 6th call
for SEPS applications!

Key feature of the redesigned website is the newly developed Technology
Radar. Its main goal is to give a comprehensive overview of the existing
technologies and their possible contribution to meeting basic energy needs,
today and in the future.
The radar illustrates technological, social and economic aspects, and lines
out the potentials to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and global
CO2 reduction. The Technology Radar will be supplemented and updated
regularly. In the first phase the radar focuses on renewable energy
technologies that can be used in solutions to ensure access to electricity.

Practical financial support for the implementation of projects and models is
provided via the latest and sixth round of Sustainable Energy Project
Support (SEPS). The total grant fund in 2010 is EUR 350,000 to be divided
among all projects.
From 2010 onwards, SEPS will be focusing   parallel to the radar - on
energy-related basic needs in its annual calls for applications. The focus
of this year s call is on projects that aim to secure access to clean and
reliable electricity. A maximum of 8-10 projects will be selected for
support.

The deadline for submissions is 21 June 2010 (17:00 GMT). For more
information and application forms see: http://www.wisions.net

If you are enthusiastic about our initiative we would like to ask you to
spread the news via forwarding the information to interested people or
target groups, post it on your webpage or include it in your newsletter.

Thank you for your support!  We look forward to hearing from you or
receiving your application.
