Harmonize the National Climate Change Bill Now!!!

For almost two years, the National Climate Change Commission bill has been awaiting harmonization. The Conference Committee has worked half way into the bill and it will only take one-full-day to finalize the harmonization of the climate bill.

The Climate Bill seeks to establish a strong national institution under the Presidency with the mandate of coordinating Nigeria’s response to the challenges of climate change. If this bill is further delayed and the Nigerian President is unable to sign the bill into law before the expiry of the current National Assembly, it will jeopardize the chances of the bill becoming law.

Time is fast running out, Nigeria needs a clear climate change future. Endorse this Petition urging our Parliamentarians to “harmonize the Climate Change Bill Now!!!”
