Hello Coordination,

First, thanks to all of you who were able to make the coordination meeting on Wednesday. Stemming from that meeting, this email will delineate our plan of attack for informing and engaging the general public, both at the university and in the region. I have included three methods - please email me which tasks you are able to undertake.

1) Classroom Speaking: please speak to your classes. As discussed at the meeting, start by writing 'regist...@uvic.commonenergy.org ' and 'www.uvic.commonenergy.org' on the blackboard. Then introduce yourself, explain what Common Energy is, and our goal to move the university beyond climate-neutral. Next explain the conference, the goal of the conference, and how one can be involved. (If you need a refresher on what to say, the conference invite is a great tool, however if you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me). Week of Oct 1 - Oct 4.

2) Postering: If you are able to poster, at UVic or downtown, please contact me. Saturday, Sept 29 and Monday, October 1.

3) Leafleting: Saturday, Sept 29 at the Al Gore event (Victoria Conference Centre), 12:30pm - 1:30pm. On campus, Week of Oct 1 - Oct 4, Oct 8 - Oct 12.

This is also a call for agenda items for the next Coordination meeting. This meeting we will revisit the outreach and engagement, and focus on day-of responsibilities. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via phone or email. Also, if you have any new ideas, be sure to let me know!

Good work team,

Mark
