Ahoy -
I. WEEK OF 8/17: Public Hours / Open Shop x2
Shall we help people work on their bikes for a few hours on Sunday and perhaps again next Tuesday?
Also - Greeters Welcome!
When things get busy and a line starts to form, a volunteer being available to welcome folks, ask what brings them by and direct them to a workstand (once available) is a huge help.
As we approach another busy time of the year, please consider signing up as a Greeter. If you'd like to chat with people / see a variety of different bikes and their problems without working directly on any repairs - this could be just the thing.

IV. Federal Transportation Infrastructure Funding
Comments accepted through Wednesday, August 20.
Cribbed from the League of American Bicyclists -
I do think it's a problem when we're making massive investments in bike lanes at the expense of vehicles.
— Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy
Secretary Duffy believes that Congress and the U.S. DOT should not be funding bicycle infrastructure.
Disagree? You have through next Wednesday, August 20 to share your own comments (which can be as brief as you'd like).
